Josep Mas Mestre (1995) is an interdisciplinary musician and a passionate educator.

Since very young, he has huge curiosity that made him feel really interested in art. With 11 Years old he started to play the saxophone.

From 2014 until 2016 he studied classical and contemporary saxophone performance in Conservatori del Liceu in Barcelona with Professor Albert Julià. There he had the opportunity to develop his curiosity doing so many different projects. There he received by the Ferrer- Salat Foundation an Scholarship for the excellence (2017). He finished his Bachelor with outstanding qualifications and he was awarded with the Fundació Agustí Pedro Pons Scholarship (2018).

Extending his studies, he did a Master in Saxophone Performance in the Zürich University of Arts with Professor Lars Mlekusch and also studied conducting with Professor Marc Kissóczy. There he received the Scholarship from the Elsy-Meyer stiftung.

He was awarded with several music prices, such as the Barcelona chamber music competition ( 2017) or the Arjau music competition (2015).

He participated in several courses and festivals, such as‘l’Universiteé Europeene du Saxophone’ in Gap, (France), or the ‘Rencontres Musicales de la Méditerranée’ in Bastia (Corsica)

In September 2020 he will start a pedagogic Master in Zürich as well as develop his own artistic projects and teaching.
